Discotek Media recently hosted its It’s A Very Big Discotek New Years! Livestream, which included announcements for the Urusei Yatsura OVAs, Lupin the 3rd: The Secret Page of Marco Polo!, and The Little Mermaid anime movie.

One of the biggest reveals from the stream was Berserk: The Complete 1997 TV Series, which is coming in March 2024. The Blu-ray release will feature “native HD scan,” “some redone text screens,” outtakes, extras from previous releases, and both Japanese with sub and NYAV Post dub options.

Here are the other anime titles that got revealed (or re-revealed with new info) during the stream:

Urusei Yatsura: The OVA Series Collection

A collection of the 11 Urusei Yatsura OVAs that were originally released between 1985 and 1991 with “polished” AnimEigo subs. All of the OVAs feature native HD save for Episode 10, which is “an upscale based on the available materials.”

Mazinkaiser: The OVA Collection

A Blu-ray release of the seven original Mazinkaiser OVA episodes with new upscale, “upgraded subtitles,” and the original English dub. Discotek says that the upscale “preserves the grainy look” of the show. Coming this year.

Lupin the 3rd: The Secret Page of Marco Polo!

The 23rd Lupin the 3rd TV special will be delivered in native HD and comes with “promo clips & liner notes” as special features. Releases this year.

Lupin the 3rd: Princess of the Breeze!

Another Lupin the 3rd special in native HD with promo clips and liner notes. Coming this year.

Space Emperor God Sigma!

An SD-BD release of the 50-episode super robot series, coming this year. It will be the show’s first English sub release.

Lightspeed Electroid Albegas!

The Little Mermaid

A HD remaster of the 1975 anime movie, which can be viewed with English subtitles or in the original English dub. The release includes a “reconstructed vintage English trailer,” the Japanese trailer, and clean versions of the opening and ending. It will be available this March.

Sgt. Frog Seasons 5, 6, & 7

The remaining Sgt. Frog seasons in one package and three SD-BD discs. It will be in Japanese with subtitles. Set to be released this year. The extras will be announced later.

Medabots Spirit (Japanese version)

A March launch date was announced for this SB-BD release, which will come in Japanese with subs. The extras are still under wraps.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A’s

An HD upscale of the second Nanoha series, with “upgraded” subtitles and the original dub. Extras (which there will be a lot of, says Discotek) will be revealed later. Due to be released sometime this year.

Futakoi Alternative

An HD upscale with new subtitles. Set to be released this year.

An HD upscale, and also the harem show’s first English release. Will be available in Japanese with subtitles. Extras will be revealed later. The Blu-ray is coming this year.

Discotek also provided some updates on the Digimon movies and the show’s second season. For the latter, the publisher expresses hope that the English dub “will be coming really soon.” Things are more vague for the films, with the update being, “We’re working on it, we hope to have details soon…ish.”

Digimon is a big property with a lot of approvals & signoffs, so please be patient. We want it out too,” Discotek added.

A small update was also provided for Chie the Brat and IGPX, which are stated as being “not quite ready yet.”

For its last few announcements (which included Berserk: The Complete 1997 TV Series), Discotek revealed:

Reborn! Special Fan Disc
Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple: The Attack of Darkness
