An April 2024 premiere window and two-consecutive cour format have been revealed for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3. A trailer and key visual were also released, and “PEACEKEEPER” by STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION was announced as the theme song.

The returning staff from the second season includes Atsushi Nakayama as director, Ryouma Ebata as character designer, Takahiro Kishida as monster designer, Ayumi Satou as art director, Maki Saitou as color designer, and Hiroshi Satou as photography director. Toshizou Nemoto (Backflip!!) is handling the series composition.

The Eight Bit-produced That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime series is based on Taiki Kawakami‘s Kodansha-published manga adaptation of Fuse’s isekai fantasy light novels, which is serialized in Monthly Shonen Sirius and published under the Sirius KC label. The manga began in 2015 and has 24 tankoubon volumes as of September 2023.

Crunchyroll describes the anime as:

Corporate worker Mikami Satoru is stabbed by a random killer, and is reborn to an alternate world. But he turns out to be reborn a slime! Thrown into this new world with the name Rimuru, he begins his quest to create a world that’s welcoming to all races.

Seasons 1 and 2 of the show premiered in 2018 and 2019, respectively. A movie titled That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond was released in Japan in November 2022, while an OVA based on the short story that inspired the movie was released in November of this year. A spin-off titled The Slime Diaries premiered in 2021.
