2024’s Blue Exorcist – Shimane Illuminati Saga – anime has gotten a new trailer, which reveals the ending song “Gakkyuu Nishsi” by Mulasaki Ima and the show’s January 6 (effectively January 7 at 1:30 AM JST) Japanese premiere date.

Check out the trailer and song below:

The previous Blue Exorcist seasons, which were produced by A-1 Pictures, aired in 2011 and 2017, respectively. The anime is based on the Shueisha-published manga by Kazue Katou, which Viz Media describes as:

Raised by Father Fujimoto, a famous exorcist, Rin Okumura never knew his real father. One day a fateful argument with Father Fujimoto forces Rin to face a terrible truth—the blood of the demon lord Satan runs in Rin’s veins! Rin swears to defeat Satan, but doing that means entering the mysterious True Cross Academy and becoming an exorcist himself. Can Rin fight demons and keep his infernal bloodline a secret? It won’t be easy, especially when drawing his father’s sword releases the demonic power within him!

The Blue Exorcist manga started its serialization in Jump Square in 2009 and has been collected into 29 tankoubon volumes as of July 2023.
