The This Light Novel Is Amazing! 2024 guidebook was released on November 25 JST, and scoring big on its rankings is Saeki-san‘s The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, which took the first spot in a notable five categories.
These categories include Bunko, Web Survey, Female Character (Mahiru Shiina), Male Character (Amane Fujimiya), and Illustrator (Hanekoto). In a press release, publisher SB Creative noted that this was the the first time a work had scored first place in this many categories.
The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten began publication in 2019 and has 10 volumes (including short story collections) as of September 2023. The romantic comedy began as a web novel on Shoutsetsuka ni Narou in 2018. The light novels have inspired a Square Enix-published manga adaptation by Wan Shibata and a Project No.9-produced anime, which is getting a second season.
