The Demon Prince of Momochi House Reveals 2nd Official Main Trailer

Crunchyroll has released the second official trailer for The Demon Prince of Momochi House TV anime series, which will premiere in Japan on January 5, 2024. The series will also be streamed on Crunchyroll worldwide, outside of Japan. 

The trailer also previews the anime’s opening and ending theme songs. The opening theme is “Winter Cherry” by singer Yoh Kamiyama and the ending theme is “Aiyue” by Muto

Bob Shirohata (Gifu Dodo!! Kanetsugu and Keiji) is directing the anime series, with Yasuko Aoki (Phantom of the Idol) as series screenwriter, Mariko Oka (Hell Girl: The Fourth Twilight) as character designer, and Tomoyuki Kono (Romantic Killer co-composer) and Ayana Tsujita as music composers. Drive is in charge of the animation production. 

Meanwhile, the main voice cast features: 

  • • Natsumi Kawaida as Himari Momochi 
  • • Takeo Ootsuka as Aoi Nanamori/Nue
  • • Shinnosuke Tachibana as Yukari
  • • Yuuki Ono as Ise

The original manga series by Aya Shouoto ran in Kadokawa Shoten’s Asuka magazine from July 24, 2013 to August 24, 2019 for a total of 16 volumes. A sequel manga was recently launched in the same magazine on July 24, 2023.

Viz Media releases the manga in English, and describes the synopsis as:

On her sixteenth birthday, orphan Himari Momochi inherits her ancestral estate that she’s never seen. Momochi House exists on the barrier between the human and spiritual realms, and Himari is meant to act as guardian between the two worlds. But on the day she moves in, she finds three handsome squatters already living in the house, and one seems to have already taken over her role!
