Yamaha’s NieR: Automata Ver 1.1a-inspired Audio Mixers Coming to the US

The limited edition NieR: Automata Ver 1.1a ZG01 gaming mixers announced by Yamaha Japan last month will become available stateside this winter. The ZG01 042 and ZG01 153, which are inspired by 2B and 9S’ Pod companions, are also on display at Yamaha’s booth at Twitchcon, which runs from October 20 to 22.

The ZG01 042 comes in white, like 2B’s Pod, while the ZG01 153 is based on 9S’ black Pod. In addition, the accompanying packaging box, start guide, and Windows/Mac compatible ZG Controller application will have designs inspired by the 2023 anime adaptation (which is getting a second cour) as well. 

The NieR: Automata Ver 1.1a audio mixers will sport the same capabilities as the base edition of the ZG01, which Yamaha describes as its “first audio mixer designed specifically for game voice chat and game streaming.” These features include “intuitive controls” for sound levels and effects, 3D surround sound via Yamaha’s proprietary ViReal™ technology, 48V phantom power for condenser mics, a 2-in/1-out HDMI switcher, and a USB-C interface.

The NieR: Automata Ver 1.1a ZG01s will have an MSRP of US$329.95 each. The regular ZG01 that debuted in 2022 costs US$299.95.
