Pre-registration has been opened for the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann mobile turn-based strategy RPG, based on the anime of the same name. The game will be available to download worldwide starting on October 12, 2023.
In addition, new pre-registrants will receive a 5-Star Gurren Lagann and 100 free draws for their account after the game’s release.
The mobile game was developed by KLab, Wanda Cinemas Games, and Aniplex in October 2022 and was initially released in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau. It is the first game based on the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann anime series, with Trigger supervising the project.
The turn-based RPG strategy game utilizes the deployment of Gunmen avatars that battle on a 9×9 square grid field, where they face off against their enemies. A variety of gameplay modes are also available, wherein players explore their village at Littana, embark on the Expedition Teppelin, partner with friends to fight boss battles, and engage in Sky Duels with other players.
Players can also collect and recruit all the original Gunmen characters to create and customize their own Team Gurren roster.
The Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann franchise previously inspired two Gurren Lagann Parallel Works original video anime, several manga adaptations, spinoffs, and three stage plays. The 27-episode TV anime series aired from April 1, 2007 to September 30, 2007.
