The Idolmaster Million Live! anime will begin its Japanese TV broadcast on October 8. A key visual featuring the main trio of Mirai Kasuga (Haruka Yamazaki), Shizuka Mogami (Azusa Tadokoro), and Tsubasa Ibuki (Machico) was also released.
The 3DCG anime is currently being pre-screened in Japanese theaters, with the series being divided into three parts for the theatrical release. The first part ran from August 18 to September 7, while the second part debuted on September 8. The third and final part will begin screening on September 29.
The Idolmaster Million Live! shares its name with the idol producer simulation game that launched in Japan in 2013 for mobile and in 2016 on PC browsers. That game ended service in 2018, although 2017’s The Idolmaster Million Live! Theater Days mobile game is still active. The anime will follow the growth of the 765 Pro Live Theater from its beginning.
Shinya Nishikida (Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE, The Idolmaster Million Live! “Seven Count” supervisor) is directing The Idolmaster Million Live! anime with Youichi Katou (Yokai Watch) as series composer and scriptwriter. Shirogumi is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Yuu Kahara as Emily Stewart, Eri Inagawa as Tamaki Ogami, Emi Hirayama as Reika Kitakami, Sora Amamiya as Shiho Kitazawa, Nao Tamura as Hinata Kinoshita, and many more. The 765PRO ALLSTARS (in anime terms, the idols from the 2011 The Idolmaster series) will also appear in the show.
Bandai Namco Entertainment’s The Idolmaster (stylized as THE iDOLM@STER) multimedia franchise begin in 2005 with an arcade game that was later ported to the Xbox 360 in 2007. It has spawned multiple games and anime, with the latter including series like 2007’s Idolmaster: Xenoglossia, 2011’s The Idolmaster, 2015’s The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, 2017’s The Idolmaster SideM, and Spring 2023’s The Idolmaster: U149.
