Pon no Michi Mahjong Anime Reveals 1st Key Visual, January Premiere

The original anime Pon no Michi, which features original character designs from The Quintessential Quintuplets manga artist Negi Haruba, has received a key visual, a January 2024 Japanese premiere window, and a new cast member announcement.

The newly announced voice actor is Hibiku Yamamura, who is playing Haneru Emi, a girl who likes punk fashion and takes mahjong seriously.

Pon no Michi will follow the daily lives of several high school girls in Hiroshima’s Onomichi City who hang out at a former mahjong parlor. The previously announced cast members are Kaori Maeda as Nashiko Jippensha, Iori Saeki as Pai Kawahigashi, Shion Wakayama as Izumi Tokutomi, and Yui Kondou as Riche Hayashi. In addition to the girls, there is a mahjong spirit called Chonbo.

Tatsuma Minamikawa (Fire Force Season 2 director and series composer) is directing and writing the anime with character designs from Kenji Oota (Lance N’ Masques). OLM is the animation production company.
