The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess anime adaptation has received a third trailer, a second key visual, and an October 17 premiere date. Featured heavily in the former is Millicent Bluenight (Sora Amamiya), a deadly terrorist with great hatred for heroine Terakomari Gandesblood, with whom she has some sort of connection.

The trailer also features the opening song “Red Liberation” by fripSide.

Amamiya is one of three newly announced voice cast members for The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess (Hikikomari Kyuuketsuki no Monmon). The other two are Reina Ueda, who is voicing journalist Melka Tiano, and Saku Mizuno, who is voicing rookie journalist Tio Flat.

It was also announced that the anime’s first three episodes will be screened in advance on September 24 at United Cinemas Aqua City Odaiba, and that the CDs for the opening and ending theme songs will be released on October 11 and December 6.

The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess is based on the SB Creative-published light novels written by Kotei Kobayashi and illustrated by riichu. Yen Press describes the plot as:

Three years into her life as a shut-in, vampire Terakomari Gandesblood (Komari for short), awakens to find she’s been appointed as a Commander in the Mulnite Imperial Army! The thing is, her new unit consists solely of belligerent ruffians who revolt against their superiors at the slightest hint of weakness. Although Komari hails from a line of vampires as powerful as they are prestigious, her refusal to drink blood has made her the picture of mediocrity—scrawny, un-coordinated, and inept at magic. With the odds stacked against her, will the help of her trusty (and slightly infatuated) maid Vill be enough for this recluse to blunder her way to success? Or will Komari rue the day she ever left the safety of her room?
