The production team for the Nights with a Cat anime series has revealed a new visual to celebrate its first anniversary. The visual features the feline protagonist Kyuruga and their friend, resting on their back.
The anime’s second season was first announced in January 2023 and first premiered on March 8, 2023. Its latest episode will be released on August 30, 2023. The first season aired on Japanese television from August 4, 2022 to September 22, 2022. It was then streamed on YouTube from October 12, 2022 to January 11, 2023.
Season one was directed and written by Minoru Ashina (Isekai Quartet), with Minoru Takehara (Isekai Quartet) as character designer and animation director and Kana Utatane (Akebi’s Sailor Uniform) as music composer. Studio PuYUKAI is handling the animation production for the series.
Meanwhile, the voice cast includes Satoshi Hino as Fuuta-kun, Atsumi Tanezaki as Pii-chan, and Ayahi Takagaki as Kyuruga.
Nights with a Cat is based on the web manga series by Kyuryu Z, which was first serialized on the author’s Twitter account, before being picked up by Kadokawa for publication in Comic Bridge in December 2019. Five tankoubon volumes have been released as of July 2023.
