The Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead anime adaptation is receiving a delay to its fifth episode. Episode 5’s premiere has now shuffled off to August 13, with a special recap program to air on August 6 instead.

The anime had recently suffered a slight streaming delay for its fourth episode.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead debuted on July 9. The anime is an adaptation of the Shogakukan-published manga written by Haro Aso and drawn by Koutaro Takata. Viz Media describes the manga as:

In a trash-filled apartment, 24-year-old Akira Tendo watches a zombie movie with lifeless, envious eyes. After spending three hard years at an exploitative corporation in Japan, his spirit is broken. He can’t even muster the courage to confess his feelings to his beautiful co-worker Ohtori. Then one morning, he stumbles upon his landlord eating lunch—which happens to be another tenant! The whole city’s swarming with zombies, and even though he’s running for his life, Akira has never felt more alive!

Komi Can’t Communicate‘s Kazuki Kawagoe is directing the anime with Hanako Ueda (Summer Time Rendering ending 2 director et al.) as assistant director, Hiroshi Seko (Chainsaw Man) as series composer, Kii Tanaka (Pride of Orange) as character designer, Junpei Fukuchi (Summer Time Rendering chief animation director) as zombie designer, and Makoto Miyazaki (RPG Real Estate) as music composer. BUG FILMS is the animation production company, while SHAFT is credited for production assistance.

The main cast members include Shuuichiou Umeda as Akira Tendo, Tomori Kusunoki as Shizuka Mikazuki, Makoto Furukawa as Kenichiro, and Minami Takahashi as Beatrix.

Some of his free time is spent self-learning Japanese, both out of interest in the language and because English-translated light novels and manga are expensive. Every anime season, Melvyn looks forward to discovering new standout episodes and OP/ED animation sequences, as well as learning about the storyboard artists and directors behind them.
