With the conclusion of the “Vampire Arc,” the Undead Murder Farce anime adaptation has now received a trailer and visual for the upcoming “Diamond Scramble Arc” (Daiya Soudatsu-hen).
The new arc will see the anime’s main trio crossing paths with Sherlock Holmes, Watson, Arsene Lupin, and various other characters.
Undead Murder Farce (alternatively titled Undead Girl Murder Farce in some other places) had its premiere on July 5. It is based on the Kodansha-published novel series written by Yuugo Aosaki with cover illustrations by Oh!Great. The supernatural mystery anime is streamed by Crunchyroll, Ani-One Asia, and Bilibili outside of Japan.
Kodansha USA describes the Haruka Tomoyama-drawn manga adaptation of the novels as:
The end of the 19th century—a vampire’s wife is murdered, and the detective known as the “cage user” is called in to solve the crime. But there’s more to the detective and the curtained birdcage he carries…after all, when solving a case involving a monster, it might just take one to know one!
The show’s staff includes Mamoru Hatakeyama (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) as director, Noboru Takagi (In/Spectre) as series composer and Noriko Itou (Kakegurui xx sub-character designer) as character designer and chief animation director. Also part of the staff are Naho Kozono (Shine On! Bakumatsu Bad Boys co-sub-character designer) as sub-character designer and chief animation director, and yuma yamaguchi as music composer. Lapin Track is the animation production company.
The cast includes:
• Tomoyo Kurosawa as Aya Rindou
• Taku Yashiro as Tsugaru Shinuchi
• Makoto Koichi as Shizuku Hasei
• Shinichirou Miki as Sherlock Holmes
• Masaki Aizawa as John H. Watson
• Mamoru Miyano as Arsene Lupin.

The novel series began in 2015 and has four volumes as of July 2023. The books are published under the Kodansha Taiga label.
