The Demon Prince of Momochi House TV Anime Announced, Reveals Teaser Visual & Trailer

A TV anime adaptation of Aya Shouoto’s fantasy romance manga The Demon Prince of Momochi House has been announced. An exact premiere date for the series has yet to be revealed. 

A teaser visual and announcement trailer for the upcoming anime series have also been released, highlighting the main male character Aoi Nanamori. Both a Japanese and English subtitled version of the trailer can be viewed.

The trailer also revealed the anime’s production staff. BoB Shirohata (The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh) is directing the anime, with Mariko Oka (Granblue Fantasy: The Animation Season 2 chief animation director for episode 3) as character designer, Yasuko Aoki (Phantom of the Idol) and Ayana Tsujita as series screenwriters, and Tomoyuki Kono (Romantic Killer co-composer) as music composer. Drive is handling the animation production for the series. 

In addition, Natsumi Kawaida will voice the heroine Himari Momochi while Takeo Ootsuka will voice Aoi Nanamori/Nue.

Crunchyroll will stream the anime in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS. 

Shouoto’s original manga series ran in Kadokawa Shoten’s Asuka magazine from July 24, 2013 to  August 24, 2019 for a total of 16 volumes. A sequel manga was recently launched in the same magazine on July 23, 2023. 

VIZ Media releases the manga in English, and describes the synopsis as:

On her sixteenth birthday, orphan Himari Momochi inherits her ancestral estate that she’s never seen. Momochi House exists on the barrier between the human and spiritual realms, and Himari is meant to act as guardian between the two worlds. But on the day she moves in, she finds three handsome squatters already living in the house, and one seems to have already taken over her role!
