HIDIVE has announced the license acquisition of four new anime series at its Anime Expo 2023 industry panel. The new licensed shows include The Dreaming Boy is a Realist, OSHI NO KO second season, Spy Classroom second season, and The Dangers in My Heart second season.
The Dreaming Boy is a Realist (also known as Yumemiru Danshi wa Genjitsushugisha in Japanese) will be joining HIDIVE’s summer simulcast season and will premiere on July 3, 2023. The series is directed by Kazuomi Koga, with a screenplay by Michiko Yokote and animation production by Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ.
Meanwhile, the second season of Spy Classroom will also be streaming on HIDIVE as part of its summer simulcast schedule, premiering sometime in July 2023. Additionally, the second season of The Dangers in My Heart will premiere in January 2024, while season two of OSHI NO KO has already been confirmed.
HIDIVE’s industry panel was hosted by Star Butler and Jacki Jing (Netflix’s The Circle, Anime News Network). It included the U.S. subtitled premiere of Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero, which premiered on July 3, 2023. HIDIVE also hosted the world premiere of the Eminence in Shadow season two and the North American premiere of Helck.
