TONIKAWA: Over the Moon For You — High School Days Releases Main PV Trailer

A main PV trailer has been released for the upcoming TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You ~High School Days~ ONA series. The first of four episodes will begin streaming in Japan on July 12, 2023, with Crunchyroll streaming the anime outside of Japan

TONIKAWA: ~High School Days~ will be screened early for the first time in North America at Anime Expo on July 2, 2023. After the first episode’s premiere on July 12, the remaining three will be released on July 26, August 9, and August 23, respectively. 

The new story arc follows Nasa heading to an all-girls high school at the request of his middle school teacher Naoko Yanagi, where he’ll be assisting the school’s education program.

The anime’s first season premiered in 2020 and ran for 12 episodes, while the second season began airing on April 7, 2023. Crunchyroll and Bilibili are streaming the anime, which is directed by Ikehata Hiroshi at Seven Arcs with Kazuho Hyoudou as series screenwriter and Masakatsu Sasaki as character designer. 

Meanwhile, the main voice cast for High School Days include Junya Enoki as Nasa, Akari Kitou as Tsukasa Yuzaki, Yuu Serizawa as Kaname Arisugawa, and Sumire Uesaka as Aya Arisugawa. New cast members joining the ONA consist of Ayane Sakura as Kaguya Gekkou, Rika Nagae as Yaiba Shirogane, Coco Hayashi as Haru Miyako, Hina Youmiya as Mishio Usa, Ayane Matsuda as Hotaru Kurenai, Hitomi Ueda as Hakase Inugai, and Kaori Maeda as Jessie Nikotama. 

TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You is based on the manga by Hayate the Combat Butler creator Kenjirou Hata, which was first serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Sunday on February 14, 2018. A total of 23 tankoubon volumes have been released as of March 2023, with a 24th volume due out on June 16, 2023.

Crunchyroll is streaming both seasons of TONIKAWA and describes the story as: 

Nasa Yuzaki falls in love at first sight after an encounter with the mysterious Tsukasa. When Nasa earnestly confesses his feelings, she replies, “I’ll date you, but only if we’re married.” Nasa and Tsukasa’s cute and precious newlywed life of love is about to begin!
