Rent-A-Girlfriend Season 3 has received a new date visual that features new character Mini Yaemori (Yuu Serizawa), an outgoing first-year college student and cosplayer who becomes acquainted with protagonist Kazuya Kinoshita. A character trailer dedicated to the series newcomer was also released.

It was also revealed that the anime will premiere in Japan on July 7 (effectively July 8 at 1:23 AM JST) and will have Amber’s “End Roll” as the ending theme song.

Rent-A-Girlfriend is an adaptation of the romantic comedy manga by Reiji Miyajima, which began in 2017 and has 31 tankoubon volumes as of May 2023. Kodansha describes the manga as:

In today’s Japan, “rental” services can deliver an afternoon with a “friend,” a “parent,” even a fake girlfriend! After a staggering betrayal by his girlfriend, hapless freshman Kazuya gets just desperate enough to give it a try. But he quickly discovers how complicated it can be to “rent” an emotional connection, and his new “girlfriend,” who’s trying to keep her side hustle secret, will panic when she finds out her real life and Kazuya’s are intertwined in surprising ways! Family, school, and life all start to go wrong, too… It’s sweet but naïve boy meets cute but ruthless girl in this 21st-century manga rom-com!

Une Shinya (Teasing Master Takagi-san assistant director) is directing Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 3 instead of the previous seasons’ Kazuomi Koga. Returning are Mitsutaka Hirota as series composer, Kanna Hirayama as character designer, and Kenichi Maeyamada/Hyadain as music composer. Like Season 2, TMS Entertainment is producing with production assistance from Studio Comet

• Shun Horie as Kazuya Kinoshita
• Sora Amamiya as Chizuru
• Aoi Yuuki as Mami
• Nao Touyama as Ruka
• Rie Takahashi as Sumi Sakurasawa

The Rent-a-Girlfriend manga is serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine and published under the Kodansha Comics label. The series has inspired a Sumi-centric spin-off titled Kanojo, Hitomishirimasu and a 2022 live-action drama.

The first season of the anime began airing in July 2020, while the second season premiered in July 2022.
