LiSA Releases Lyric Video for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Theme  “REALiZE”

Renowned Japanese singer LiSA has recently released a captivating lyric video for her highly anticipated new single “REALiZE,” the official theme for the Japanese dubbed version of the film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, The single itself has also been made available on streaming services.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the latest installment in the popular Spider-Man franchise and the sequel to 2018’s, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, is set to hit theaters in Japan on June 16. The CG animated movie follows the journey of the protagonist, Miles Morales, as he defies and challenges the predestined “fate” that previous Spider-Men were forced to accept. “REALiZE” marks LiSA’s inaugural theme song collaboration with a Hollywood production.

The release of “REALiZE” comes after a seven-month hiatus that began after the release of LiSA’s sixth album LANDER in November 2022. The song is described as a “high-energy rock anthem” that “showcases LiSA’s distinctive heroine persona.”  The single also features a jacket photo portraying “LiSA in the Spider-Verse,” illustrated by an animator involved in the movie’s production.

LiSA made her solo debut in spring 2011. She has performed the theme songs of numerous anime, including Fate/Zero, Sword Art Online, The Irregular at Magic High School, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, achieving great success in Japan and internationally.

Her 2019 single “Gurenge,” the first opening for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, quickly dominated multiple daily charts right after its release and became the first digital single to claim the top spot in the Reiwa era.

LiSA is set to embark on a nationwide tour titled “LiVE is Smile Always~LANDER~” that will start in September 2023, with the tour to encompass 19 performances at 14 locations.
