A new trailer has been released for the Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence anime, with a July 12 (effectively July 13 at 1:30 AM JST) premiere date being revealed in the process.
The trailer includes previews of the anime’s newly announced theme songs, the opening “Koi Sekai” by ClariS and the ending “Toko Siesta” by Sasanomaly.
Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence is based on the Kodansha-published manga series by Hazano Kazutake, which began in 2017 and has 11 tankoubon volumes as of November 2022. The anime was originally meant to premiere in April. Crunchyroll will premiere the first episode on July 3 at Anime Expo 2023 as part of its Crunchyroll Presents: New Simulcast Premieres Round 4 panel.
Kodansha USA describes the manga as:
Saint Cecilia is beloved by the townspeople—not only is she elegant and composed, she benevolently shares her wisdom with all who seek it. That is, until the last person has left—at which point she becomes totally hopeless! Only Pastor Lawrence is keeping the Saint put together enough to do her duties…and though she may test him, it’s all in a day’s work!
The anime is directed by Sumie Noro (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle assistant director) with Yuka Yamada (Tokyo Mew Mew New) as series composer and Hiromi Nakagawa (WATATEN!: an Angel Flew Down to Me) as character designer. Doga Koba is the animation production company.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Hime Sawada as Cecilia, Kaito Ishikawa as Lawrence, Kanna Nakamura as Hazelita, Haruki Ishiya as Abel, Tomoaki Maeno as Gieselbert, and Reina Ueda as Frederica.
