OSHI NO KO characters Aqua and Ruby will be featured on the front cover of the latest issue of Japanese fashion magazine SPUR. The August 2023 issue will be released on June 22, 2023.
The visual showcases the stylish designs of Aqua and Ruby, wearing their namesake’s jewelry as if they were in a real photoshoot. It was created with the mindset of finding suitable jewelry that matched people struggling in the entertainment industry. Aqua is drawn with a large ring from Tiffany’s adorned with an aquamarine jewel. Ruby, meanwhile, is wearing earrings and a necklace from Dior that has a beautiful pink gradation.
The magazine will also feature a 6-page dialogue between the manga’s original creators Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari.
SPUR has previously collaborated several times with Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure creator Hirohiko Araki, beginning in 2011. His characters have also been added on the magazine’s front cover in 2012 and 2013. He was featured in a special interview in SPUR’s September 2018 issue.
The OSHI NO KO TV anime first premiered with a 90-minute episode on April 12, 2023 and will run for a total of 11 episodes. Doga Kobo is the animation production for the series.
HIDIVE is streaming the anime series outside of Japan and describes the story as:

It is devoted to all aspects of fashion for women and features various photo essays of the trendiest looks for sportswear, career wear, leisure wear, and casual clothing. The magazine contains hundreds of photos centered on women’s clothing, including a large variety of accessories such as bags, belts, hats, shoes, scarves, eyewear, fragrances, and cosmetics.
