The Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead anime has received its second trailer and key visual, with both providing a look at newly revealed characters Kenichiro Ryuzaki and Beatrix Amerhauser. The former also previews the opening song “Song of the Dead” by KANA-BOON.

Makoto Furukawa is voicing Kenichiro, a real estate agent who is the best friend of male protagonist Akira, while Minami Takahashi is providing the voice of Beatrix, a “bold and impulsive” German college student who is a Japanophile.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead will begin streaming on Netflix and Hulu on July 9. The anime is an adaptation of the Shogakukan-published manga written by Haro Aso and drawn by Koutaro Takata. Viz Media describes the manga as:

In a trash-filled apartment, 24-year-old Akira Tendo watches a zombie movie with lifeless, envious eyes. After spending three hard years at an exploitative corporation in Japan, his spirit is broken. He can’t even muster the courage to confess his feelings to his beautiful co-worker Ohtori. Then one morning, he stumbles upon his landlord eating lunch—which happens to be another tenant! The whole city’s swarming with zombies, and even though he’s running for his life, Akira has never felt more alive!

Komi Can’t Communicate‘s Kazuki Kawagoe is directing the anime with Hanako Ueda (Summer Time Rendering ending 2 director et al.) as assistant director, Hiroshi Seko (Chainsaw Man) as series composer, Kii Tanaka (Pride of Orange) as character designer, Junpei Fukuchi (Summer Time Rendering chief animation director) as zombie designer, and Makoto Miyazaki (RPG Real Estate) as music composer. BUG FILMS is the animation production company.
