Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc Finale Will be 1-Hour Long

The production team for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc anime announced that the season finale will run for an extended 1-hour time slot, totaling around 70 minutes. The 11th and final episode of season three will air on June 18, 2023 and is titled “A Connected Bond: Daybreak and First Light.”

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc is the third season of the action-adventure anime series. It first premiered on April 9, 2023, while the first and second season aired in 2019 and 2021, respectively. An anime film adapting the “Mugen Train” story arc premiered on October 16, 2020. 

The returning production staff for Swordsmith Village Arc includes Haruo Sotozaki as director, Akira Matsushima as character designer/chief animation director, Kouji Etou as art director, Yuuichi Terao as photography director, and Yuuko Oomae as color designer. Ufotable handled the animation production for the series once again. 

Meanwhile, the main voice cast includes Natsuki Hanae as Tanjiro Kamado, Akari Kitou as Nezuko Kamado, Hiro Shimono as Zenitsu Agatsuma, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Inosuke Hashibira, Kengo Kawanishi as the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito, and Kana Hanazawa as the Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji.

The anime series is based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, which ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 15, 2016 to May 18, 2020. A total of 23 tankoubon volumes were released. Viz Media released the manga in English.

Crunchyroll is currently streaming all seasons of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. The official English website for the series describes the synopsis as: 

It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself.

Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
