Genjitsu no Yohane’s 2nd Trailer Previews Aqours Opening Theme

A new trailer for Love Live! Sunshine!!‘s fantasy spin-off Genjitsu no Yohane — Sunshine in the Mirror has been released, previewing new scenes and the opening song “Genjitsu Mysterium” by Aquors

A July 2 Japanese TV broadcast start date was also revealed. ABEMA will start streaming the show a week earlier on June 25.

Genjitsu no Yohane — Sunshine in the Mirror was first announced as a 2022 April Fools’ joke before an official announcement arrived in June of that year. The anime is inspired by a series of illustrations that began in 2020 and feature the Yohane persona of chuunibyou character Yoshiko Tsushima in a fantasy setting. A Kadokawa-published and Kouta Matsuda-illustrated manga titled Genjitsu no Yohane -Unpolarized Reflexion- began in 2022.

The Genjitsu no Yohane — Sunshine in the Mirror anime is described as:

The story that nobody knows, of the girl that everybody knows ——.

Numazu, a picturesque port city surrounded by the sea and mountains.
Yohane, a girl who could not fit in with her surroundings since childhood, lived her days keeping a distance from the people in the city.

The thing I want to do, the place I truly belong in, that’s ——.

Walking with a girl who cannot be honest,
A mysterious world that you know of.
