A newly released teaser trailer for the Delicious in Dungeon anime adaptation, which features various scenes of fantasy food and adventuring, has revealed that the show will premiere in January 2024. The cast members for the anime and a teaser visual were also revealed.

The participating voice actors include:

The main staff of Delicious in Dungeon was announced as well. Yoshihiro Miyajima (SSSS.Dynazenon assistant director), who previously directed and storyboarded the commercial for the manga’s eighth tankoubon volume, is directing the anime with:

• Character designer: Naoki Takeda (BNA: Brand New Animal chief animation director)
• Series composer: Kimiko Ueno (Eternal Boys)
• Music composer: Yasunori Mitsuda (Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 co-composer)

Delicious in Dungeon is based on the KADOKAWA-published manga by Ryouko Kui, which began in 2015 and has 12 tankoubon volumes as of August 2022. Yen Press describes the plot as:

When young adventurer Laios and his company are attacked and soundly thrashed by a dragon deep in a dungeon, the party loses all its money and provisions…and a member! They’re eager to go back and save her, but there is just one problem: If they set out with no food or coin to speak of, they’re sure to starve on the way! But Laios comes up with a brilliant idea: “Let’s eat the monsters!” Slimes, basilisks, and even dragons…none are safe from the appetites of these dungeon-crawling gourmands!
