The eighth episode of the OSHI NO KO anime will debut on June 7 instead of May 31, an official announcement has revealed.

A special recap program featuring interviews with Takeo Ootsuka (Aqua) and Yurie Igoma (Ruby) will air next week instead.

OSHI NO KO premiered on April 12 with a 90 minute episode and is streamed by HIDIVE and Bilibili outside Japan. The anime is an adaptation of the Shueisha-published manga written by Aka Akasaka and drawn by Mengo Yokoyari, which began serialization in Weekly Young Jump in 2020 and has 11 tankoubon volumes as of March 2023.

Yen Press describes the manga as:

Gorou is a gynecologist and idol fan who’s in shock after his favorite star, Ai, announces an impromptu hiatus. Little does Gorou realize that he’s about to forge a bond with her that defies all common sense! Lies are an idol’s greatest weapon in this outrageous manga from Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish).

The anime is directed by Daisuke Hiramaki (Selection ProjectAsteroid in Love) at Doga Kobo, with other main staff including:

• Assistant director: Chao Nekotomi (Love Is Like a Cocktail director [as Saori Tachibana], Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie opening director and storyboard artist)
• Character designer and chief character designer: Kanna Hirayama (Rent-A-Girlfriend)
• Series composer: Jin Tanaka (Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, Laid-Back Camp
