Kodansha USA announced that it has licensed BOMHAT’s A Kingdom of Quartz dark fantasy manga for a Spring 2024 English print release. The first volume of the Japanese language edition is also being released today in Japan.
A Kingdom of Quartz was first launched in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine on December 23, 2022. A single tankoubon volume has been released as of May 2023. BOMHAT wrote the manga in English first, before being translated into Japanese for release in the country.
Kodansha USA describes the manga’s synopsis as:
A Kingdom of Quartz is the story of elegant creatures with magnificent wings and peerless strength who, by the Goddess’s will, protect the Kingdom of Quartz from infiltration by demonic forces: These are the heroes known as Angels. A little girl named Blue, who was born with mysterious black wings, spends every waking moment dreaming of becoming an Angel herself.
