Insomniacs After School Coming to Muse Asia on May 22

Muse Asia will begin streaming the ongoing Insomniacs After School anime adaptation on its YouTube channel on May 22. 

Muse Asia will first upload the show’s first seven episodes daily at 9 PM GMT+8 until May 28. Future episodes will be uploaded weekly at 12 AM GMT+8 from May 30 onwards.

Insomniacs After School will be available for viewers in Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Insomniacs After School debuted in Japan on April 10 (effectively April 11 at 12 AM JST). It is an adaptation of the Shogakukan-published manga series by Makoto Ojiro, which began in 2019 and has 12 tankoubon volumes as of April 2023. The story follows insomniac high schoolers Ganta and Isaki, who meet after classes at an observatory-turned-storage room, beginning a strange relationship of brief sleep and shared secrets. The manga is published under Big Comics label and serialized in the Big Comic Spirits magazine.

The anime is directed by Yuuki Ikeda (Arad: Reversal of Fate chief episode director) at LIDENFILMS with Rintarou Ikeda (Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It r=1-sinθ) as series composer and scriptwriter, Yuuki Fukuda (Mieruko-chan ghost character designer) as character designer, and Yuuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia) as music composer. Meanwhile, the cast includes:

• Haruka Tomatsu as Yui Shiromaru

• Seiichirou Yamashita as Tao Ukegawa
