The upcoming Synduality Noir sci-fi anime, which will be streamed worldwide on Disney +, will begin its Japanese TV broadcast on July 10.
Various other details were announced as well, including ARCANA PROJECT‘s sixth single “Eureka” being the ending theme song for Synduality Noir. More cast members were also announced including Daisuke Sakaguchi as Michael, Daiki Hamano as Bob, and Miku Itou as Maria.
Also revealed:
• A short anime produced by Studio YUKAI that explains the setting’s sci-fi elements
• A July 26 start for the Synduality Ellie manga that features one of the show’s characters, the titular Ellie, as its protagonist (it’ll be serialized in Monthly Comic Alive)
• A July 25 start for the Synduality Kaleido photo story-format gaiden novel (it’ll be serialized in Monthly Hobby Japan)
• An Ichibankuji lottery that begins on October 7
• Planned T-shirts and goods that will be available on Bandai Fashion Collection
• A collaboration with car manufacturer SUBARU in the form of Carriers (vehicles that transport Synduality Noir’s mechs) and other vehicles that will appear in the show. A visual depicting the SUBARU Carrier has been released.
Synduality Noir is part of a wider project that includes an upcoming Bandai Namco-published PvPvE third-person shooter titled Synduality: Echo of Ada (originally just Synduality) and hobby products. The Eight Bit-produced anime takes place in the year 2242, twenty years after the video game.
Bandai Namco describes the Synduality game as:
SYNDUALITY is a Sci-fi Shooter set in a dystopian futuristic world where humans and AI must co-exist and cooperate to survive. The game takes place in 2222 – years after a mysterious poisonous rain called “The Tears of the New Moon” wipe out most of humanity and birthed deformed creatures that now hunt the population. Amidst the calamity, humans are forced to build an underground haven named Amasia, where they discover and begin to collaborate with forms of artificial intelligence called Magus.
Illustrators neco and Ippei Gyoubu (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury co-mecha designer, Megalo Box Gear designer) are credited as the anime’s original character designer and Coffin (Cradle Coffins being the name for Synduality‘s mechs) designer, respectively. neco contributed to the game’s character designs while Gyoubu handled the mech designs.
