Attack on Titan Final Season The Final Chapter is the third part of the MAPPA-produced Attack on Titan Final Season, which began in 2021. The anime is based on the manga by Hajime Isayama, which begin serialization in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shounen Magazine in 2009 and ended in April 2021 with 34 tankoubon volumes. Kodansha describes the manga as:
A century ago, the grotesque giants known as Titans appeared and consumed all but a few thousand humans. The survivors took refuge behind giant walls. Today, the threat of the Titans is a distant memory, and a boy named Eren yearns to explore the world beyond Wall Maria. But what began as a childish dream will become an all-too-real nightmare when the Titans return and humanity is once again on the brink of extinction…
The returning Attack on Titan Final Season staff includes Yuuichirou Hayashi as director, Hiroshi Seko as series composer, Tomohiro Kishi as character designer, Jun Shishido as chief episode director, Daisuke Niinuma as chief animation director, Kazuo Ogura as art director, Shigeki Asakawa as photography director, and Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto as music composers. Returning from Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 are Itsuku Oonishi as color designer, Manabu Akita as another chief animation director, and Motoi Okunou and Subaru Ikeda as 3DCG directors.
