Undead Girl Murder Farce Releases Annie Kerber Character Visual

A new character visual of Annie Kerber (voiced by Sayumi Suzushiro) has been released for the upcoming Undead Girl Murder Farce anime series. The anime is scheduled to premiere in July 2023. 

Suzushiro joins a voice cast that includes Tomoyo Kurosawa as Aya Rindou, Taku Yashiro as Tsugaru Shinuchi, and Makoto Koichi as Shizuku Hasei.

Mamoru Hatakeyama (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) is directing Undead Girl Murder Farce, with Noboru Takagi (In/Spectre) as series screenwriter and Noriko Itou (Kakegurui xx sub-character designer) as character designer and chief animation director. Lapin Track is in charge of the animation production for the series.   

Additional staff members include Naho Kozono (Shine On! Bakumatsu Bad Boys co-sub-character designer) as sub-character designer and chief animation director and yuma yamaguchi as music composer.

The anime is based on Yuugo Aosaki’s supernatural novels, which were first published on December 17, 2015 under the Kodansha Taiga label. Three volumes have been released as of April 2021. A manga adaptation of the novel series was also launched by Haruka Tomoyama on June 25, 2016. Three tankoubon volumes have been released as of June 2018.

Crunchyroll will stream the series outside of Japan and describes the story as: 

The 19th century — a world inhabited by vampires, golems, werewolves and other paranormal creatures. Immortal beauty and disembodied head Aya Rindo, along with half-human-half-demon “Demon Killer” Tsugaru Shunichi and her loyal maid Shizuku Hasei, travels through Europe as supernatural detective “The Cage User,” solving supernatural mysteries while she searches for her lost body.
