The Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out anime has received a main visual and a trailer. It was also announced that it will premiere in Japanese theaters on June 23.

Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out is a sequel to 2018’s Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai series and the 2019 Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl movie. The movie is part of a new production that includes an adaptation of the light novels’ Rascal Does Not Dream of Randoseru Girl arc.

The Kadokawa-published Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai series by Hajime Kamoshida sees protagonist Sakuta helping various girls who suffer from a supernatural affliction dubbed Adolescence Syndrome, which is related to the social issues they face in the real world. The series is illustrated by Keji Mizoguchi.

Yen Press describes the Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out volume as:

After a draining December, Sakuta is quickly nearing the end of his second year of high school. Since Mai is a third-year student, they don’t have much time left together before graduation rolls around. Meanwhile, his sister, Kaede, is slowly but steadily venturing outdoors again. Just as she begins to find her footing, she announces her most ambitious goal yet—attending her brother’s high school! Sakuta knows better than anyone how difficult this will be for Kaede, and he’s ready to support her however he can. He’s just not sure if that’s what’s best for her…or what she really wants…

Melvyn originally wanted to write about video games, and he did so for a few years, starting from his college days. He still writes about video games sometimes, but now focuses on anime-related news content and the occasional review. Some of his free time is spent self-learning Japanese, both out of interest in the language and because English-translated light novels and manga are expensive. Every anime season, Melvyn looks forward to discovering new standout episodes and OP/ED animation sequences, as well as learning about the storyboard artists and directors behind them.
