Magical Destroyers Characters Assemble in New Visual, Premiere Date Revealed

The Magical Destroyers original anime has received a new key visual featuring protagonist Otaku Hero, his magical girl allies, and the members of the otaku-oppressing SSC organization. An April 7 (effectively April 8 at 1:55 AM) Japanese premiere date was also announced.

Additionally, more staff members were revealed including:

Tomoki Sawa as character designer

Taiki Konno (The Promised Neverland Season 2 ED director et al.) as concept artist 

• Totonyan’s Hirofumi Sakagami (NieR:Automata Ver1.1a) as art director

Ritsuko Utagawa (Raven of the Inner Palace) as color designer

• STAR Laboratories’ Hisashi Matsumuko (Vinland Saga Season 2 co-compositing director) as compositing director

Gin Hashiba as music composer

Magical Destroyers takes place in a Japan where otaku culture of all sorts, ranging from anime and manga to railroads and music, has been stamped out and the SSC organization maintains order. However, the Akiba-loving Otaku Hero and his three magical girl companions appear one day to oppose the SSC and reclaim Otaku culture.

Hiroshi Ikehata (Tonikaku KawaiiSpace Battleship Tiramisu) is directing the show with Masao Kawase (Kiratto PriChan) as assistant director, Daishirou Tanimura (Spy x Family episode scriptwriter) as series composer and scriptwriter, and Bibury Animation Studios as the animation production company. Artist JUN INAGAWA is responsible for the original story.

Meanwhile, the main cast includes Makoto Furukawa as Otaku Hero, Fairouz Ai as Anarchy, Aimi as Blue, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Pink, Souma Saitou as SHOBON, and Yuu Serizawa as S Slayer.
