Yen Press has announced that it will be releasing individual digital chapters of the Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun manga series simultaneously with Japan. Chapters 92 to 95 will be available on various digital platforms like BOOKWALKER Global, beginning March 7, 2023.
Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun is the latest addition to Yen Press’s lineup of digital simulpublication manga series, which includes Black Butler, Kakegurui, and Goblin Slayer. Meanwhile, a box set collection containing the first ten volumes of the series will be released in May 2023.
The manga series is inspiring a new 2023 “Restart” anime project that was first announced in December 2022. The first 12-episode anime adaptation aired from January 9, 2020 to March 26, 2020, with Lerche handling the animation production. Funimation streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, before moving to Crunchyroll after Sony’s acquisition of the company.
The original manga by AidaIro was first serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly GFantasy magazine on June 18, 2014. Nineteen tankoubon volumes have been released as of February 2023. Yen Press releases the manga in English in both digital and print formats.
