Aniplex has released a short character trailer for Loving Yamada at Lv999!‘s main heroine Akane Kinoshita, who is voiced by Inori Minase. It was also announced that the anime will begin airing in Japan on April 1 (effectively April 2 at 1:30 AM JST).
Loving Yamada at Lvl999! is based on the manga by Mashiro, which began serialization in ComicSmart’s Ganma magazine in 2019. The tankoubon volumes are published under Kadokawa’s MFC label, with six volumes released as of October 2022.
Mangamo describes the plot as:
Recently dumped, Akane is just about to quit the game she used to play with her boyfriend, when she meets Yamada in the same RPG. Yamada in real life turns out to be somewhat of a legend. The only problem is – he is ONLY interested in the game. As Akane’s feelings grow, will Yamada’s focus stay on the game?
Morio Asaka (Chihayafuru) is directing the anime with Kunihiko Hamada (Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card) as character designer, Yasuhiro Nakanishi (A Couple of Cuckoos) as series composer, and mito (Wonder Egg Priority) and DÉ DÉ MOUSE (Wonder Egg Priority) as music composers. Madhouse is the animation production company.
The cast includes Kouki Uchiyama as Akito Yamada, Natsuki Hanae as Eita Sasaki, and Ai Kakuma as Runa Sasaki.
