The Dangers in My Heart romantic comedy anime has received a main trailer and visual, as well as an April 1 (effectively April 2 at 1:30 AM JST) premiere date.
The trailer, which focuses on the show’s two lead characters, features the opening song “Shayou” by Yorushika, which was newly announced with the ending song “Suu Sentimental” by Kohana Lam.
The Dangers In My Heart is based on the Akita Shoten-published romantic comedy manga by Norio Sakurai, which came first in AnimeJapan’s fourth Manga We Want to See Animated ranking. The manga, which is currently serialized on Manga Cross and is published under the Shonen Champion Comics label, began in 2018 and has seven tankoubon volumes as of August 2022.

Kyotaro Ichikawa, a boy barely clinging to the bottom rung of his school’s social ladder, secretly believes he’s the tortured lead in some psychological thriller. But Kyotaro’s not nearly the troubled teen he pretends to be…and it turns out Anna’s a bit odd herself!
Hiroaki Akagi (Teasing Master Takagi-san) is directing the show with Jukki Hanada (Love Live! Superstar!!) as series composer and script writer, Masato Katsumata (The Quintessential Quintuplets) as character designer, Kumiko Yanagisawa (The Stranger by the Shore) as color designer, Masaki Mayuzumi (Sasaki and Miyano) as art director, Kentaro Minegishi (Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World) and Yuuichi Takezawa (Is the Order a Rabbit? BLOOM) as compositing directors, and Kensuke Ushio (Chainsaw Man) as music composer. Shin-Ei Animation is the animation production company.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Shun Horie as Kyotaro Ichikawa, Hina Youmiya as Anna Yamada, Ayaka Asai as Chihiro Kobayashi, Megumi Han as Moeko Sekine, Atsumi Tanezaki as Serina Yoshida, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Sho, Gen Satou as Kenta, Jun Fukushima as Chikara, and Aki Toyosaki as Honoka.
The Dangers in My Heart will have a pre-screening of its first two episodes on March 18.
