The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses anime adaptation has received a character trailer and visual for Asami Seto‘s cool and short-haired Akane Hououji, who is the top barista at the Familia café.

The visual shows a seated Akane, her right arm resting on the back of the chair and her head cocked to the side, with a cup of coffee in hand and a smile on her face.

The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses is set to begin this April. It is based on the manga by Kouji Seo, which began in 2021 and has nine tankoubon volumes as of February 17, 2023. The manga is serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine and published under the Kodansha Comics label.

Kodansha USA describes the manga as:

When Hayato’s grandmother passed, he planned to sell her rundown café on the shore—not realizing that it was also home to five young women who call themselves her family?! Their desperation to keep the café open convinces Hayato to give it a shot…but even their best intentions might not be enough to make it work! And can he even work with these five unruly women? No matter what, he’s got his work cut out for him! A fun new romcom by the author of Fuuka and Suzuka!
