Magical Destroyers Anime Reveals Additional Characters

A few new characters from the upcoming original anime Magical Destroyers have been revealed along with their designs and respective voice actors.

Souma Saitou and Yuu Serizawa are playing SHOBON and Slayer, respectively, members of the mysterious SSC organization that is suppressing otaku culture. SHOBON is the SSC’s masked leader, while Slayer is one of its Four Heavenly Kings.

Meanwhile, Tomori Kusunoki is playing Kyotaro, a mysterious creature that operates with the Revolutionary Army. Finally, Kazuyuki Okitsu is Nick, a friend of protagonist Otaku Hero who supports the Revolutionary Army from behind the scenes.

Magical Destroyers is set to begin airing in April. The story takes place in a Japan where otaku culture of all sorts, ranging from anime and manga to railroads and music, has been stamped out and the SSC organization maintains order. However, the Akiba-loving Otaku Hero and his three magical girl companions appear one day to oppose the SSC and reclaim Otaku culture.

Hiroshi Ikehata (Tonikaku KawaiiSpace Battleship Tiramisu) is directing the show with Masao Kawase (Kiratto PriChan) as assistant director, Daishirou Tanimura (Spy x Family episode scriptwriter) as series composer and scriptwriter, and Bibury Animation Studios as the animation production company. Artist JUN INAGAWA is responsible for the original story.

Meanwhile, the main cast includes Makoto Furukawa as Otaku Hero, Fairouz Ai as Anarchy, Aimi as Blue, and Tomoyo Kurosawa as Pink.
