More names have been announced for the main cast of the Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou anime, including Kana Hanazawa as Aruraru.

The others include Sumire Uesaka as Shiruriru, Shou Fujisawa as Roy, and Megumi Ogata as Kuren.

Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou will premiere sometime this year. It is based on the Hero’s-published isekai fantasy manga written by Aoi Akashiro and drawn by Sonshou Hangetsuban.

The story involves Yukito Urabe, the son of a cult founder, being reincarnated in another world with no gods or religion after dying from the cult’s training practices. Yukito initially lives a happy life with the villagers that save him, but learns that they are branded by the empire as “abnormal” due to their fear of death and face eventual execution. To complicate matters, Mitama, the god that was worshipped by Yukito’s cult, is summoned to this world.

Yuki Inaba (Non Non Biyori Nonstop Ep 9 director, No Game No Life Ep 7 director) is directing Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou with Akashiro (Classroom of the Elite Season 1) as series composer and Kaori Yoshikawa (The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat chief animation director) as character designer. Studio Palette is the animation production studio. Meanwhile, the lead cast members include Junya Enoki and Akari Kitou as Yukito Urabe and Mitama, respectively.

The manga began in 2019 and has six tankoubon volumes as of November 2022. The series is currently serialized at Wild Hero’s and published under the Hero’s Comics Wild label.

Melvyn originally wanted to write about video games, and he did so for a few years, starting from his college days. He still writes about video games sometimes, but now focuses on anime-related news content and the occasional review. Some of his free time is spent self-learning Japanese, both out of interest in the language and because English-translated light novels and manga are expensive. Every anime season, Melvyn looks forward to discovering new standout episodes and OP/ED animation sequences, as well as learning about the storyboard artists and directors behind them.
