Crunchyroll and Aniplex of America have revealed that Kaguya-sama: Love is War -The First Kiss That Never Ends- will debut in North America on February 14. It will be screened in theaters for two days only.
An English-subtitled trailer of the movie’s main trailer was also released.
Kaguya-sama: Love is War -The First Kiss That Never Ends- premiered in Japanese theaters on December 17. It is also set to be broadcast on Japanese TV. The show continues from the events of the anime’s third season and sees lead characters Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane facing a new challenge in their relationship.
The film’s plot is described as:
Shuchiin Academy’s student council room, the place where Student Council Vice President Kaguya Shinomiya and President Miyuki Shirogane met. After a long battle in love, these two geniuses communicated their feelings and, at the Hoshin Festival, had their very first kiss. However, there was no clear confession of love. The relationship between these two, who assumed they would be a couple, remains ambiguous. Now, overly conscious of their feelings, they must face the biggest challenge yet: Christmas. It’s Shirogane who wants it to be perfect versus Kaguya who pursues the imperfect situation. This is the very “normal” love story of two geniuses and the first kiss that never ends.
Like the rest of the series, the staff includes Mamoru Hatakeyama as director, Yasuhiro Nakanishi as series composer, Yuuko Yahiro as character designer, Risa Wakabayashi as art director, Kanako Hokari as color designer, Masaharu Okazaki as photography director, and Kei Haneoka as music composer. A-1 Pictures is the animation production company.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Makoto Furukawa as Miyuki Shirogane, Konomi Kohara as Chika Fujiwara, Ryouta Suzuki as Yuu Ishigami, Yumiri Hanamori as Ai Hayasaka, and Miyu Tomita as Miko Iino.
The Kaguya-sama: Love is War anime series began in 2019, with the third season running from April to June 2022. It is based on the Shueisha-published manga series by Aka Akasaka, which began in 2015 and ended with 28 tankoubon volumes in 2022.
