Crunchyroll Anime Awards Reveals 2023 Nominees & Opens Global Voting

Crunchyroll has announced the nominees for its seventh annual Anime Awards and opened worldwide voting in more than 200 countries and territories. Fans can now vote daily for their favorite shows in the Anime Awards until January 25, 2023 at 5 PM PST. Results will be revealed at the 2023 Anime Awards live ceremony on March 4, 2023 through a global fan livestream. 

Sony Group Corporation CEO and president Kenichiro Yoshida will open the live ceremony festivities at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Tokyo, joining 2023 Anime Awards Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira. Sony Music Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc., will support Crunchyroll in the execution of the Anime Awards.

The Crunchyroll Anime Awards honors the creators, musicians, and performances across numerous anime streaming and theatrical platforms. Nominees represent and celebrate anime excellence in 2022 from over 30 anime studios, eight streaming platforms, over 50 series and films, and more than 50 voice actors. 

A new voting feature Crunchyroll is introducing in its seventh Anime Awards is social voting on Twitter for the Anime of the Year. Twitter users can cast a vote by posting required hashtags or sharing a friend’s tweet. Fans can visit Crunchyroll’s Twitter account for more details and instructions on how to participate.
