Mysterious Disappearances Receives Teaser PV for TV Anime Adaptation


Nujima‘s Mysterious Disappearances manga is inspiring a TV anime, which has received a teaser trailer and visual. An illustration by Nujima was also released.

No staff or cast have been announced yet.

The anime is described as “the story of a small friendship, and a parting of ways throughout a number of strange occurrences. A modern-day bizarre romanesque with a piercing combination of ‘weirdness’, ‘girls’, and ‘sexuality’.” The manga follows aspiring novelist Sumireko Ogawa and the mysterious, young-looking Ren Adashino as they solve various supernatural mysteries in a town.

Mysterious Disappearances began serialization in 2019 and has five tankoubon volumes as of January 12, 2023. It is serialized on Shogakukan’s Yawaraka Spirits and published under the Big Comics label.
