Pole Princess!! Releases “Episode 0” Prologue Episode

Avex Pictures has released a special 3DCG prologue episode of the upcoming Pole Princess!! original anime project. The 6-minute “Episode 0” prologue introduces the main heroine Hinano who learns about pole dancing while trying to think of ways to save her favorite planetarium. 

The main production staff for Pole Princess!! consists of Hitomi Ezoe (Laughing Under the Clouds Gaiden 2: Shukumei, Soutou no Fuuma assistant director) as director, Touko Machida (I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills series screenwriter) as scriptwriter, Yoshihiro Otobe (Waccha PriMagi!) as CG director, illustrator Tomari as original character designer, Kenta Higashiohji (Build Divide co-composer) as music composer, and STUDIO TRANSFORM’s KAORI as pole dance supervisor. Avex Pictures and Tatsunoko Production are credited as the project’s original creators, with the latter in charge of animation production as well. 

The main voice cast includes Rio Tsuchiya as Hinano Hoshikita, Anna Suzuki as Lilia Saijou, Yui Ogura as Mio Tousaka, and Minami Hinata as Subaru Nanyou. Additional voice cast members include Yoshino Nanjou as Yukari Mikoshiro, Rina Hidaka as Sana Murafuji, Saori Hayami as Noa Aoi, and Rie Kugimiya as Azumi Shinou.

Pole Princess!! follows 17-year old Hinano trying to save her grandmother’s planetarium from shutting down. When Hinano sees someone pole dancing under a starry sky, the experience leads her to gather her childhood friends — Lilia, Mio, and Subaru — to become pole dancers to save the planetarium.
