Sasuke’s Story: The Uchiha and the Heavenly Stardust to be Adapted Into Anime

During Shueisha’s Jump Festa 2023 event, Viz Media announced on its Twitter account that Naruto: Sasuke’s Story: The Uchiha and the Heavenly Stardust will be turned into an anime. It will be adapted as a story arc titled “Naruto: Sasuke’s Story” in the ongoing Boruto anime series, beginning January 2023.

The Uchiha and the Heavenly Stardust is part of a series of light novels called “Naruto Shinden” that take place after the events in Naruto Shippuden. It is written by Jun Esaka with original concept and planning credited to series creator Masashi Kishimoto. It was first published in Japan on August 2, 2019 and released by Viz in English on November 22, 2022. A manga adaptation by Shingo Kimura was launched on the Shonen Jump+ website on October 23, 2022 and can also be read on the Manga Plus online platform.

The novel focuses on the relationship between Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno. Viz describes the original story as: 

Uchiha Sasuke heads for an astronomical observatory, far from the Land of Fire. There, he syncs up with Sakura, and together they dive into an undercover investigation in search of traces of the Sage of Six Paths! They discover a plan that goes beyond life and death, and a battle that will test this husband-and-wife team till death do they part.
