A TV anime adaptation of the Mission: Yozakura Family manga has been announced with a 2024 release date and visual. Silver Link is producing the show.
Created by Hitsuji Gondaira, who also released an illustration to commemorate the anime’s announcement, the Shueisha-published action-comedy manga follows a high school student who discovers that his childhood friend is from a family of spies. Viz Media describes the plot as:
Taiyo Asano is a super-shy high school student and the only person he can talk to is his childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura. However, Mutsumi comes from a line of master spies with amazing powers. Her oldest brother, Kyoichiro, is obsessed with Mutsumi and out to kill anyone who gets remotely near her—and his next target is Taiyo! The only way for Taiyo to save himself from Kyoichiro’s murderous clutches is to marry Mutsumi!
Mission: Yozakura Family began in 2020 and has 14 tankoubon volumes as of September 2022. The series is serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump and published under the Jump Comics Digital label.
