Yen Audio to Release Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Audiobook Along With Two Other Series

Yen Audio — Yen Press’s new division for audiobooks — is expanding its lineup with the release of three new audiobook adaptations of Yen On novels: Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!, Even If This Love Disappears Tonight, and Tezcatlipoca. Voice actors for the three upcoming audiobooks will be announced at a later date.

Here are some details about the three new upcoming audiobooks from Yen Press: 

Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! — Story by Natsume Akatsuki

The Konosuba light novel series will release its first audiobook adaptation on June 20, 2023. Originally released under the Yen On imprint in 2017, the series has become a bestseller in the light novel category. It has also inspired a long-running television anime series, anime film, manga adaptations, video games, and other spinoff media. 

An animated spinoff series featuring Megumin is scheduled to premiere in April 2023.  

The story is described by Yen Press as: 

Game-loving shut-in Kazuma Sato’s life as a young schoolboy in Japan abruptly comes to an early end…or at least it was supposed to. Even If This Love Disappears Tonight — Story by Misaki Ichijou

The critically acclaimed Japanese novel by Misaki Ichijou was first published by Kadokawa on February 20, 2022. The audiobook adaptation is scheduled to debut on March 14, 2023. The novel also inspired a sequel called Even If These Tears Disappear Tonight published on June 24, 2022, which has also been licensed for the Yen On imprint. 

Yen Press describes the novel’s synopsis as: 

When Tooru Kamiya is pushed into falsely confessing his love to Maori Hino, she tells him they can date on three conditions: 1. Don’t talk to her until after school. 2. Keep any communication between them short. 3. Don’t truly fall in love with her. Unfortunately, Tooru finds he cannot adhere to the last rule. Tezcatlipoca — Story by Kiwamu Sato

Kiwamu Sato’s compelling crime novel will release its audiobook adaptation on April 18, 2023. The novel was first published in February 2021 and won the 165th Naoki Prize and the 34th Yamamoto Shugoro Prize. 

Yen Press describe the novel’s story as: 

In the wake of a brutal war with a rival cartel, a certain drug lord flees Mexico and ends up halfway around the world, where he runs into a Japanese organ broker doing business in Jakarta.
