A new key visual and 1-minute PV trailer have been released for the upcoming anime series Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence. The anime is scheduled to premiere in April 2023.
The production staff for the anime series includes Sumie Noro (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle assistant director) as director, Yuka Yamada (Tokyo Mew Mew New) as series screenwriter, Hiromi Nakagawa (WATATEN!: an Angel Flew Down to Me) as character designer, Chieko Nakamura (Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop) as art director, Seiichi Sugiura (Osamake: Romcom Where The Childhood Friend Won’t Lose) as photography director, Genta Makabe (Osamake: Romcom Where The Childhood Friend Won’t Lose) as color designer, and Ruka Kawada (Kiniro Mosaic: Thank You!!) as music composer. Doga Kobo is in charge of the animation production for the series.
The main voice cast consists of Hime Sawada as Cecilia and Kaito Ishikawa as Lawrence respectively. Crunchyroll has also licensed the anime series for streaming in English-speaking countries and territories.
Hazano Kazutake’s original manga series was first launched in Kodansha’s Shounen Magazine R on April 20, 2017. Eleven tankoubon volumes have been released as of December 2022.
Kodansha USA releases the Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence manga in English and describes the first volume as:
Saint Cecilia is beloved by the townspeople—not only is she elegant and composed, she benevolently shares her wisdom with all who seek it. That is, until the last person has left—at which point she becomes totally hopeless! Only Pastor Lawrence is keeping the Saint put together enough to do her duties…and though she may test him, it’s all in a day’s work!
