A January 4, 2023 Japanese premiere date has been revealed for The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady anime adaptation.

Preview screenshots for the first episode were released on the yuri fantasy anime’s website as well.

The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady is based on the Kadokawa-published light novel series written by Piero Karasu and illustrated by Yuri Kisaragi, which began in 2020 and has five volumes as of August 2022. It is published under the Fantasia Bunko label.

A manga adaptation by Harutsugu Nadaka also launched in 2020 and released its fourth tankoubon volume in August 2022. The story began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2019.

Yen Press, which publishes both the light novels and manga of Magical Revolution in English, describes the former as:

Despite her supposed ineptitude with regular magic, Princess Anisphia defies the aristocracy’s expectations by developing “magicology,” a unique magical theory based on memories from her past life. One day, she witnesses the brilliant noblewoman Euphyllia unjustly stripped of her title as the kingdom’s next monarch. That’s when Anisphia concocts a plan to help Euphyllia regain her good name-which somehow involves them living together and researching magic!  Little do these two ladies know, however, that their chance encounter will alter not only their own futures, but those of the kingdom…and the entire world!

Shingo Tamaki (Ahiru no SoraAho-Girl) is directing with Wataru Watari (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU author) as series composer and Naomi Ide (Riddle Story of Devil) as character designer. Diomedéa is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Sayaka Senbongi as Anisphere/Anis, Manaka Iwami as Euphylia/Euphy, Ai Kakuma as Ilia Coral, Shougo Sakata as Algard von Palletia, Hina Youmiya as Lainie Cyan, and Yuu Sasahara as Tilty Claret.
