The fourth episode of KanColle: Itsuka Ano Umi de has been delayed from this week to mid-December, with an official tweet citing production circumstances as the reason.

Instead of premiering in Japan on November 24 (effectively November 25 at 12:30 AM JST), the episode will now air on December 15 (or December 16 effectively).

KanColle: Itsuka Ano Umi de is based on the Kantai Collection “fleet training simulation game,” which previously inspired a 2015 anime series and a 2016 anime movie. Itsuka Ano Umi de is not a direct continuation of the previous shows.

The anime is directed by Kazuya Miura (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!) with Kensuke Tanaka (KanColle Movie co-writer) as series composer and scriptwriter, Chika Noumi (Kemono Michi: Rise Up) as character designer and chief animation director, and Kaori Ookoshi (12-Sai) as music composer. ENGI is in charge of the animation production.

Kantai Collection originated as a Flash-based browser game in 2013 and switched to HTML5 in 2018. There is also an Android version. Aside from the anime adaptations, there have also been various manga, light novels, and more.

Melvyn originally wanted to write about video games, and he did so for a few years, starting from his college days. He still writes about video games sometimes, but now focuses on anime-related news content and the occasional review. Some of his free time is spent self-learning Japanese, both out of interest in the language and because English-translated light novels and manga are expensive. Every anime season, Melvyn looks forward to discovering new standout episodes and OP/ED animation sequences, as well as learning about the storyboard artists and directors behind them.
