At its Anime NYC 2022 industry panel, J-Novel Club has announced the English license acquisition of DRECOM Media’s Blade & Bastard light novel, written by Kumo Kagyu (Goblin Slayer) and illustrated by so-bin (Overlord). The light novel will be published and released in Japan on December 9, 2022.
Members of DRECOM Media were also introduced by J-Novel Club during its industry panel. They include Seiji Miyazaki (General Manager of Publishing & Film Production), Ryo Kawaguchi (General Manager of Business Planning Group), and Hiroyuki Tajima (General Manager of Business Development Group).
A special PV trailer for Blade & Bastard was also screened at the panel, with comments from Kagyu and so-bin. The digital publishing company will be simultaneously publishing the light novel as an eBook in English at the same time of the Japanese release.
Eager fans of this highly-anticipated light novel can look forward to reading part 1 on J-Novel Club later today as a special pre-release preview.
