The Kizuna Ai anime project has received a 2023 release date and an illustration from the VTuber’s original character designer En Morikura. The anime is titled Kizuna no Allele and is a TV production.
The project was announced in February at Kizuna Ai’s “hello, world 2022,” which was her last live performance before going on an indefinite hiatus.
Kizuna Ai began her YouTube activities in 2016. The term “Virtual VTuber” was first used by Ai to refer to herself in her introductory video. In addition to YouTube videos, Ai has made multiple music releases, appeared on TV programs and ads, and played the role of one of the site admins in the 2018 anime Magical Girl Site.
Ai’s hiatus was announced in December 2021. The official statement said that the hiatus was meant to “update future activities with the goal of further developing Kizuna Ai.”
